If you are just tuning in… I have a DIY addiction. I’m trying to create something great from an old childhood desk I painted poo brown over ten years ago. For how the first part of this went check out DIY Addiction – Part 1.
This project took us longer than I wanted but we took our time to make sure it came out right. Once everything was sanded, we wiped it all down and started to paint. Four coats later (two primer and two white paint) it started to look like what I wanted it to.
Once the paint was all dry, Ryan (amazing husband) cut pieces of wood for the shelves and we placed them in. While doing so, we had the thought to stain the wood instead of paint. The decision was hard…
But we love the look!
Now that everything was attached, touch up paint was a must! All that was left was to connect the hooks and the facing of the drawer.. and VOILA!
It came out just the way I envisioned it! I LOVE it!
I am so pleased I have a place for all my creation that showcases them in a way I love! I hope you enjoyed and let me know what you think!
Thanks – Claire
