5 Must-Haves to ease your Summer pieces into your Fall wardrobe
It’s that time of the year again – Back to school and seasons are changing (well at least here in the North East it is) and reports say that students and parents are spending more than ever on back to school items.
I thought I would put together a list of 5 must-haves to ease your Summer wardrobe into your Fall wardrobe with little to no effort and cost. This can work for kids to adults – so have fun with it!
1. Jeggings, Leggings and Jeans
I know most of you have a good chunk of them in your closet already. Use that to your advantage! Pair that cute summer blouse with jeggings instead of shorts and your ready for a cool day in September.
2. Boots, Ankle booties and any closed-toe shoe
It’s that time again to start covering up your little piggies. Some of us (myself included) are sad to have to pack up the multiple pairs of flip-flops and sandals but it’s time. Plus, cold toesies are never fun! Invest in a good pair of boots that can be paired with may different outfits – A brown or a black leather boot can go a long way in a wardrobe. Pair them with jeggings and cute summer top you have in your closet and you are good to go.
3. Blazers, Cardigans and Denim Jackets
Again, you may already have a good amount of these in your closet, it’s a great way to save! Take that cute summer top your not ready to part with and layer it with a cardigan then topped with a denim jacket. If you use layers , you can remove each layer if the mid day gets warmer. Mid September is known for those indian summers we all love so much!
This is my favorite!! If I could, I would wear one everyday, but summers get a little warm here in NJ. If you’re like me, you have a collection of scarves from years past you can pull out of storage and work into your wardrobe. If not, this is an inexpensive way to add some warmth and pizzazz to your outfits. Again this is a great way to layer for the crisp mornings and as the day gets warmer you can remove if you get too hot!
5. Larger Purse or Bag
Fall is that time of year where we tend to carry more stuff. That scarf you took off from the mid day warmth is now being carried in your purse for later. It may be time to invest in a Fall to Winter bag or go through your closet and see what was stored away from last Winter. You can still use those cute summer bags which you can easily toss into a larger bag.
Now look around, you might already have these 5 must haves in your closet. If not, you can go out and get these staples instead of going out and getting a whole new wardrobe.
